In Part 1, I briefly discuss Grief, Sadness, and “letting go“ from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective and energetic.s of the Connecting Meridians, or channels, the Hand Greater Yin and its inner-outer or yin-yang paired channel, Hand Yang Brightness.
The Connecting Vessels are a deeper channel in the web of meridians that run through the body that assist in the release of tragedy, trauma and event both physical and perceived. Many experiences contain a somatic, or body memory one is through the use of Lou or Connecting vessels buffer zone for emotion, digestion and lifestyle issues.
Connecting Points are a direct access to the blood level. They are about letting go of what we have internalized, our experiences stored in blood with emotion and houses the TCM spirit of Shen or ”awareness”.
The Hand Greater Yin
(Lung) meridian stores the the most energy, survival and has a direct connection to our breath and tactile senses. It is the First channel in the sequence of circulation throughout the Twelve Primary meridians and is about the reception of life; too fast or too slow. The channel ends near the tip of the thumb.
The 1st Connecting point, Broken Sequence (Lu7) deals with our engagement with life, without judgement and is the opening point on the Vessel of Bonding. The channel ends near the tip of the thump with an physical and emotional aspect to letting go of things we hold on to as well as sadness, sorrow, or grief.
The Hand Yang Brightness (Large Intestine)
channel is about sensing and perceiving the world and take in our experiences. It helps us further separate nutrients and water from waste our body doesn’t need. It begins near the tip of the first finger, pairing with the thumb to hold or release and is second on the Twelve Meridian system.
Classically the 5th Connecting Point, Deviated Passage deals with sensing the world and how we taking it in, chewing it over, and let go of the crap. It effects the process of intake of information and sensation without judgement and assists the Hand Greater Yin with grief, sorrow, and forgiveness.
Through the proper use of acupuncture and by following the wellness guidelines for fitness, nutrition, and meditation, you can live a happy and healthy life without spending a fortune on healthcare.
