Talk to Yourself
_There are many methods and forms of meditation.
Meditation is focusing while maintaining a state of detachment from thought and ideas. The more you practice, the easier it gets. The thing about meditation is you have to work at it to see improvement and there is no quick and easy short cut. Lie everything worth having, you get out of it exactly what you put in. Calming Thought
There are many techniques throughout the world and across many cultures that invoke a variety of methods for calming thought and focusing the mind into a calm centered place...
before you begin, learn to breath properly
Just by practicing nothing else but belly breathing for a month or two you will witness improved sleeping, better moods & a positive outlook.
Learning to conquer our own desires to be comfortable is always the most difficult of task in our lives. People generally breathe with their chest. As a result, we breathe only into the upper half of the chest and inhale about half the amount of air. This kind of breathing limits the functional capacity of our lungs and allowing an inadequate amount of oxygen to exchange. |

belly breathing
Breathe with your belly, also known as reverse-breathing, is to inhale the air into your belly slowly but continuously and fill it up like a balloon. Then hold your breath for about three seconds to give your lungs time to function optimally with fresh air in them. Then, contract this balloon as you exhale.
Follow the path of your breaths. Sense the qi as it passes through your nostrils, into your throat, passing through your lungs and into your belly. Do not count your breaths because counting is a conscious activity that must be eliminated. Slowly and continuously, Softly without noise, Deeply into your belly and lung, Take your time (SSDT) Healthy breathing is silent. When breathing is noisy, it is either a sign of blockage in the windpipe or possibly an indication of a health-related problem belly breathing technique

micro-cosmic orbit
_As you breath in, picture in your minds eye energy rising up along
your spine from the tip of the tail bone and send it up to the top of
the crown of your head. This is the Yang Energy of the Governing
Channel.
As you breath out, picture the energy cascading down the front of you following the mid-line as it sinks deep, rapping down around to the perineum. This is the yin energies in the Conception channel. By repeating the cycle up the spine & down the front with your breath 3-9 times, you can bring balance & harmony to your breath & body, yin & yang, activity & rest. |
